Two bodies were recovered from the city’s East Monipur and Shah Ali areas on Saturday respectively. One of the decease has been identified as Ashiqur Rhman, 19. The identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately, police said.
Quoting the locals, Mirpur Model Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Motiur Rahman said that police recovered Ashiqur’s body from his residence at East Monipur at around 10:00am.
Police suspected that Ashiqur might have committed suicide being disgusted with the family matter, he said.
The body had been sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, the SI said.
On the other hand, Shah Ali Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Salauddin said that police recovered an unidentified body from the Goran Chakbari area around 9:00am.
The body had been sent to the DMCH’ morgue for autopsy, the SI said.
