2 BNP leaders file lawsuit against Fakhrul, 4 others

Two BNP leaders filed a lawsuit against five leaders of their party including party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for violating territorial boundary and Constitution in forming unit committee.
The four other defendants are Narayanganj District BNP President Kazi Moniruzzaman, General Secretary Mamun Mahmud, Narayanganj Metropolitan BNP
President Abul Kalam and General Secretary ATM Kamal.
Earlier on Tuesday, Golzar Khan, former President of Ward No. 10 BNP unit under Narayanganj Metropolitan and former Joint Secretary of the same Ward Nur-e-Alam Shikder jointly filed the case with the Narayanganj court of Senior Assistant Judge Shiuli Rani Das.
The plaintiffs, in their complaint, claimed that the defendants violated territorial boundary and party Constitution in forming Narayanganj Municipality unit committee.
After hearing the case on that day, the court issued a seven-day rule seeking explanations from the defendants as to why the Narayanganj Metropolitan committee would not be declared illegal.
