Two minor siblings, who were allegedly kidnapped from Badda area in the capital on Saturday, were found dead at Bhawal National Park here on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Obaidullah, 7, and Nazmul Hasan, 5, sons of Shamsul Haque residing in Badda area of the capital and hailing from Nandail in Mymensingh district.
Some woodcutters spotted the bodies of the two minor siblings lying in the deep forest of the park in the morning and informed the park authorities who latter approached police.
On information, a team of police, led by sub-inspector of Hotapara police camp Rafiqul Islam, recovered the bodies and sent those to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital.
Police suspected that miscreants strangulated the boys to death sometime on Sunday night and dumped the bodies in the jungle.
Quoting family members, the police officer said one of their relatives kidnapped Obaidullah and Nazmul from Dhaka two days ago.
