Chattogram Bureau :
The Narcotics Control Department has arrested 19 drug addicts with 1 kg 950 grams of cannabis from different places in Chittagong. Later, Executive Magistrate Suraiya Yasmin sentenced them to different terms.
They were arrested at 11:30 am on Tuesday (April 28) from Laldighir Par, Mariners Road, New Bridge, Railway Station, CRB and Polo Ground area.
The arrested are- Md. Ibrahim (26), Md. Ataur Rahman (35), Md. Ruble (22), Md. Mofiz (33), Md. Ebadul (30), Md. Chandu Mia (45), Md. Body (24), Md. Ali Hossain (26), Md. Sumon (26), Md. Omar Farooq (26), Md. Azad (30), Md. Shamsu (34), Md. Kamal Hossain (48), Md. Ziaul Karim (23), Md. Abu Bakar Siddique (50), Md. Anwar (42), Muktadhan Das (45), Md. Ershad Mollah (40) and Md. Rabiul (30).
The matter was confirmed by the Deputy Director of the Department of Narcotics Control, Chittagong Metro Office Rasheduzzaman.
