Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive rescued 19 Bangladeshi people while they were being trafficked to India through Gazipur border here Friday morning.
The rescued people hail from Gazipur, Sunamganj, Mymensingh and Thakungoan districts. Tipped off, a BGB conducted a drive in the area and rescued them from the border in the morning, said Nayeb Subedar Haider Ali, BOP Commander of Gazipur border.
