184 held for various charges in 3 dists

Police in separate drives arrested 56 people including four Jamaat activists on different charges and recovered arms, illegal drugs, phensidyl, Yaba tablets, from seven upazilas of the district during the last 12 hours.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 13 people with 21 bottles of phensidyl and 15 pieces of Yaba tablets, Kalaroa police nine including four Jamaat-e-Islami activists, Tala police two, Kaliganj police six, Shyamnagar police 16 with 200 pieces of Yaba tablets, two pipe guns, a country made rifle and 11 rounds of bullets, Assasuni police six, Patkelghata police two and Debhata police two.
Jhenidah Correspondnet adds: Police arrested 84 people, including three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, in a special drive from different parts of the district on Monday on various charges.
Additional Superintendent of Police Azbahar Ali Sheikh said police conducted a drive in different places of the district from Sunday night till Monday morning and arrested them on various charges.
UNB from Narail adds: Police in separate drives arrested 42 people, including a convict in a case, from different parts of the district yesterday.
The drive was conducted from Sunday night till 9am yesterday. According to sources, a team of police conducted the drive in different areas of the district and arrested the 42 people on various charges.
The law enforcers also recovered one pipe gun, some Yaba tablets and some Phensidyl syrup from their possession.
Among the arrestees, 18 are from Sadar, eight from Lohagara, seven
from Kalia and nine from Naragati upazilas, said Rakibul Islam,
superintendent of police, Narail.
