Police and the members of the Narcotics Control Department (NCD) in separate drives arrested three persons and seized 1800 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from city’s Bakalia and Sadarghat areas on Friday night.
The arrestees were identified as Idris Miah, 25, Jokirul Isam, 18, and Mohammad Yusuf, 37, all hailing from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
A team of NCD on secret information conducted a raid at Hotel Delight at Sadarghat area around 11pm on Friday night and arrested Idris and Jokirul with 1000 pieces of Yaba tablets, said Topon Kanti Shawrma, inspector of NCD, Chittagong Metropolitan Zone.
