The 17th edition of the National Cricket League, the domestic first-class league, kicks off at country’s four different venues today (Friday).
The eight teams will play the league split into two tiers on the basis of their position in the previous edition NCL and each tier to be played in a double league format.
In the first round matches, Rangpur Division will face Dhaka Metro at Shaheed Chandu Stadium (SCS), Bogra while Khulna Division will take on Dhaka Division at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS), Khulna to complete the Tire-1.
In the Tire-2 matches, Rajshahi Division will meet Barisal Division at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS), Rajshahi and Chittagong Division will take on Sylhet Division at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS), Narayanganj.
All matches will begin at 9:30am local time.
Topper of Tier-2 will be promoted to Tier-1 for the next season NCL while bottom ranked finisher team of Tier-1 will be relegated to Tier 2.
