17 rivers marked rise, 63 fall

Water levels in 17 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 63 stations recorded fall.
Among the 84 monitored water level stations, one is above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Tuesday.
The Ganges and Surma-Kushiyara river systems are in rising trend and the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Padma river systems are in falling trend.
The Ganges and Surma-Kushiyara river systems may rise while the Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Padma may fall in the next 48 hours.
A total of 125 mm rainfall was recorded at Sunamganj, 51 mm at Panchgarh, 103 mm at Sylhet and 42 mm at Jariajanjail.
