UNB, Magura :Police on Tuesday submitted a charge sheet against 17 people in a case in connection with a factional clash between Jubo League activists in Magura on July 23 that killed a person and left an expecting mother and her baby inside the womb injured by bullets.The charge sheeted accused include prime accused in the case Sumon Sen, a Chhatra League leader.Inspector Imamul Haque of the Detective Branch (DB) of Magura police submitted the charge sheet with the Senior Judicial Magistrate’s Court around 3pm after three months of investigation.Earlier, a seven-month expecting mother, Nazma Begum, 30, her uncle-in-law Momin Bhuiyan, 65, and another man, Miraz, 30, suffered bullet injuries as they were caught in the line of fire during a clash between two groups of Jubo League over establishing supremacy at Doarpara in Magura sadar upazila on the evening of July 23.They were taken to Sadar Hospital where Nazma gave birth to a baby through caesarean section on that night. It was found after the birth that the newborn also suffered bullet wounds while in the womb.
