The Jugantor, a national daily celebrated its 16th founding anniversary with an extensive colourful programme on Saturday with the promise of objective journalism.
As the newspaper stepped into 17 years yesterday, the authority arranged a grand gala programmes at the convention centre of Jamuna Future Park at Baridhara in city.
Journalists, university teachers, civil society members, ministers, politicians and socio-cultural activists attended the function.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershd, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, former adviser to the caretaker government Barrister Mainul Hosein, BNP standing committee member lieutenant general (Rtd) Mahbubur Rahman, vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman and joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and many others attended the function.
