Water levels at 16 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 62 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at six monitored river stations are flowing above their respective danger marks while two river stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Friday.
The Atrai at Baghabari, the Dhaleswari at Elasin, the Kaliganga at Taraghat, the Dhaleswari at Jagir, the Kushiyara at Sherpur and the Kangsha at Jariajanjail are flowing above their respective danger levels by 19cm, 31cm, 10 cm, 14 cm, 4 cm and 37 cm.
All major rivers are in falling trend, the FFWC bulletin added.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Friday.
A total of 78 mm rainfall was recorded at Kanaighat, 35 mm at Rangamati, 34.2 mm at Dinajpur and 25 mm at Noakhali.
