UNB, Dhaka :Customs Intelligence officials seized 12 gold bars weighing 12 kilograms and some chains weighing four kgs worth Tk 8 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Friday night. The customs officials also detained a man in connection with the seized gold.They also seized an expired security pass from his possession. The arrestee was identified as SM Nurul Islam, owner of a Cleaning and Billboard Company.Moinul Khan, director general of the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation, said on secret information, the customs officials recovered the gold bars from a toilet at the Arrival Immigration Hall of the airport around 11:00pm. Sources at the airport said the customs officials detained Nurul Islam while he was moving suspiciously there at night.
