Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 16 Bangladeshi nationals, including seven women and three children, from Daulatpur border here yesterday noon.
The arrestees hail from different areas of Bagerhat, Khulna and Barisal.
Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion, said tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive along the border and arrested them while they were returning to the country from India without valid document. They were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
A case was filed.
