The ruling party lawmaker from Raozan constituency ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury has undertaken initiatives to collect 1500 bags of blood marking the martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15. Chowdhury, also chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways, has already taken massive preparation for collecting blood.Blood collection program will be arranged at Raozan Upazila Square on martyrdom anniversary program scheduled there.
As many as 17 booths have been prepared and special blood bags have been bought for collecting the blood to be donated by the leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, government and non-government officials and employees, teachers and students of different educational institutions, party sources said.
The collected blood would be donated among the patients free of cost. Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain will attend the programmes as the chief guest.
