National Youth Award will be given to 15 youths for their contributions to establishing self-employment projects on November 1 marking the National Youth Day.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy told this at a press conference at the conference room of the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Joy said the theme of this year’s National Youth Day is “Youth Awakened, Awakened Country: Goal is Developed Bangladesh in 2041”.
He said Directorate of Youth Development this year imparted institutional and non-institutional trainings to some 45,15,141 youths under 74 grades.
The government has undertaken steps to upgrade and make the National Youth Policy-2003 time-befitting to cope with the changing socio-economic condition of the country and challenges of globalization.
