At least 15 more persons were killed and 40 others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Thursday.
In Sirajganj, at least seven persons including five women and two truck driver were killed and 26 others seriously injured in separate road crashes in the district.
Five women were killed and several others injured when a crash occurred between two buses at Koddar intersection of Bangabandhu Bridge (west part) connecting road in Sirajganj Sadar.
The deceased were identified as Ayesha Khatun, 30, Shirin Begum, 55, Rehana Begum, 40, Romana Khatun, 16 and Ridi Khatun, 14.
Drivers of two truck also died in another road accident at Saidabad intersection on the Bangabandhu Bridge Link Road around 1:am in Sirajganj district.
The deceased were identified as Murshidul Islam, 35, of Amtoli village under Shibganj and Arif,22, son of Aktar Ali from Jashore.
Snigdha Akhter, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Sirajganj confirmed the matter to media.
In Pabna, two persons including a woman and her daughter were killed after losing control of Nasimon at Bangabaria area in Pabna Sadar Upazila.The accident happened at 10 am on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Rimi Begum, 40, wife of local van driver Akbar Ali from Bangabaria, and her 8-year-old daughter Barsha.
Jalal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station told the news to media.
In Bagerhat, two teachers of primary school were killed when a truck hit into their motorcycle on the Bagerhat-Mawa Highway in Mollahat upazila of of the district on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Rafiqul Islam Dulal, 45, assistant teacher of Sorospur Government Primary School and Baharul Alam Molla, 43, of Sorospur Dakkhinpara Government Primary School. Both of them from Sorospur village.
Mollahat Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Kazi Golam Kabir confirmed the news to media.
In Munshiganj, a sick person named Abdur Razzak (70) was killed in road crash when a Lori(Long Vehicle) rammed the ambulance in Gazaria of the district. The incident took place at Dori Baushiya of Gazaria upazila on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway around 10am on Thursday.
Sub-Inspector of Gazaria Highway Police Habibur Rahman said the news media. In Tangail, A college student named Anwar Khan (18) was killed in a road accident when a car hit him at Natiyapara area under Dalduar upazila of the district.
