14 students of Theater Department of Rahjshahi University (RU) fell sick on Tuesday at 11.30am. Five of them were sent to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) instantly, while others were treated at the University Medical Centre for primary treatment.
The seriously sick students are Tashadul Islam, Monzurul Islam, Mahfuzur
Rahman, Ayesha Akhter and Bhomika Azad.
Students told the reporters for the last few days they were doing rehearsals as part of their laboratory classes. The rehearsals started again on Tuesday morning. At one stage, the students became sick.
