14-party alliance’s mass processions Feb 20

The Awami League-led 14-party alliance will bring out mass precessions in the capital and all districts and upazilas at 4 pm on February 20 to protest ‘terrorism and anarchy’ of the BNP.
In Dhaka, the mass procession will begin from the AL central office at Bangabandhu Avenue and end at Shikha Chirantan in the historic Suhrawardi Udyan.
Health Minister, AL Presidium Member and 14-Pary spokesman announced the programme at a press briefing after a meeting of the alliance at AL President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office yesterday.
Commerce Minister and AL Advisory Committee Member Tofail Ahmed, Information Minister and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haq Inu, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Communist Kendra Convener Wazedul Islam Khan, AL Joint General Secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, MP, Workers Party General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, and other leaders of 14-party alliance were present. Earlier, Tofail Ahmed presided over the 14-party meeting while Mohammad Nasim conducted it.
In reply to questions from journalists, Tofail Ahmed said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has declared jihad, along with the Jammat, against the country’s development and prosperity.
