Awami League (AL) led 14-party alliance has extended its total support to Nagorik Committee’s mayoral candidate AGM Nasir Uddin in the Chittagong City Corporation elections on Tuesday.
The 14-party alliance announced its support to Nasir at a formal meeting held at hotel Peninsula on Tuesday . 14 -Party leader and President of JSD central executive committee Mainuddin Khan Badal, MP, said ruling Awami League-backed Nagorik Committee’s candidates will get the support of 14-party alliance in the upcoming Chittagong city corporation elections.
He said a win in this election would also be a victory at the moment said Badal, also the frontline leader of the alliance.
“Activists of 14- Party alliance have to take this election as a challenge and work together with sincerity to ensure victory for the alliance backed Mayoral candidate in the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) elections scheduled to be held on April 28,” he added.
JSD central vice president Indunandan Dutt, district workers Party leader Shamsuddin Khaled Selim, Symmyabadi Dal leader Amullyo Barua, Gono Azadi League leader Nazrul Islam Asharafi and NAP leader Mitul Das Gupto were among others attended the meeting.
