14 members of ‘teen-gang’ held in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested 14 members of an “organised teenage gang” and recovered an SBBL gun from their possession in city’s Uttara area.
All the arrestees belong to a group named ‘First Hitter Boss (F. H. B)’ which is locally known as “Tufan Group”.
The arrested men are Bashu Chandar Sheel, 20, Nayeem Mia, 18, Yasin Arafat, 18, Asif Mahmud, 18, Farhad Hossain, 21, Alamin Hossain, 19, Bijoy, 19, Shawon Hoseen Rifat, 21, Imamul Hasan Munna,

19, Tanveei Howlader, 18, Akash Mia, 18, Mirazul Islam Jony, 20, Hazrat Ali, 18, and Rajeeb Hossain, 18, RAB said in a press release on Sunday.
The members of the teenage gang have established their supremacy in Uttara area and engaged in criminal activities like bullying, ragging, stalking, snatching and taking drugs in front of different schools and colleges in the area.
Noticing the anti-social activities of the teenagers at Uttara, Abdullahpur, Tangi, Uttar Khan, Dakkhin Khan, and its adjoining areas, members of the RAB-1 have strengthened their vigilance on them.
On information, the members of RAB-1 team carried out a raid in Uttara area on July 20 and detained 14 active members of the teenage gang from in front of Uttara Rajuk office, the press release said.
The RAB team also recovered an SBBL gun and two shape weapons from their possessions, said the press release.
During primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they run a dance club so that the teenagers become encouraged with their activities, it said.
