The 13th founding anniversary of Chayan Sahitya Club was held at poet Sufia Kamal auditorium of National Museum recently in the city, says a press release.
In this regard, the organizer distributed ” Chayan Sahitya Club Gold Medal-2014″ award as well as celebrated the 24th anniversary of Chayan and Dash Diganta literary magazine. Selina Haque, Dr Marufi Khan and Doctor Abdur Rahman received the Chayan Sahitya Club Gold Medel-2014 award.
The program was presided over by poet Lily Haque and inaugurated by dramatist M Hamid. The Dhaka University Vice- Chancellor, AAMS Arefin Siddique was the chief guest of the program where Bangladesh National Museum Director General Faijul Latif Chowdhury was the special guest. Chief discussant the anniversary was Dilara Mesbah and the convener was Prof Panna Kaiser.
Singer Monoranjan Ghosal, Namita Ghosh, Syed Hossain Reza, Badrunnesa Dalia presented outstanding performance for the audience.
