1,30,302 to appear in SSC exams under Jessore Board

A total of 1,30,302 students including 63,970 girls, are going to appear the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations-2014 under Jessore Education Board (JEB) scheduled to be held tomorrow like other boards of the country.
JEB sources said the students from 2,485 schools will take part in the examinations at 231 examination centers in all 10 districts under this education board.
District wise examinees are- 23,649 students in Jessore, 6,516 in Narail, 14,740 in Jhenaidah, 9,137 in Magura, 15,436 in Kushtia, 8,121 in Chuadanga, 4,877 in Meherpur, 15,065 in Satkhira, 21,310 in Khulna and 11,451 students in Bagerhat district.
Chairman of the board Professor Amirul Alam Khan said the board authorities have taken all-out measures to ensure a peaceful environment and prevent cheating at the examination centers.
We have completed almost all the necessary preparations to hold the examination in smooth and peaceful manner, the chairman added.
Professor Abu Daud controller of the education board said the present government is committed to hold the examination in copying-free atmosphere and the board authority is working relentlessly to make the government’s commitment successful.
