A case has been filed against 13 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Mawlana Bashani Hall Unit of Jahangirnagar University (JU) in connection with the rival attack on at least 4 activists.
Fazlul Kabir, the father of injured BCL activist Adel-Al-Noman filed the case in Ashulia Thana against 13 BCL activists alleging to launch an attack on his son and others three BCL men. Officer-In-Charge of Ashulia police station Badrul Alam confirmed the matter.
BCL JU Unit Organizing Secretary Humayan Kabir, Murshedur Rahman Akand, Joint-Secretary Mehedi Hasan, Mass Education Secretary Shohel Rana, Assistant Mass Education Secretary Didar Hossen and activists Ariful Islam, Mustakim Islam, Tarek Hasan, Choyan, Jahir, Shohel and Jakir were among the accused.
Terming the case against them was a conspiracy and intentional, the accused Organizing Secretary Murshedur Rahman Akand said, I was with central leaders when the incident took place and some of my younger and who are logged with case were innocent about the attack. He also demanded immediate withdrawn of the case and seeks authority’s intervention.
