One hundred and twenty-six new books arrived at the Amar Ekushey Book on Saturday, the 15th day of the Fair.
Of them, 19 are story books, 15 articles, 37 poems, two on research, five children books, three biographies, two on Liberation War, three novels, two sciences, one on history, three on medical science, three religious, two science fictions, and 10 on other subjects.
Seventeen books were also unveiled yesterday on the Nazrul Mancha of the Bangla Academy premises yesterday.
The new books are Ek Poshla Bristi by Firoz Ashraf, Hodchi Macla by Abdul Karim, Varsitir Prem by Mahbubul Alam Ripon, Dolon Kal by Asik Reza, Megher Dingi by Sohrab Pasha, Sokti Bigyan 0 Abishkarer Kotha by Mostaque Ahmed, Kanna Nie Jaw Feriwala Megh by Habibullah Russell, Koshter Shesh Kothai by M Ariful Islam, Muk Deke Jay Biggapon by Razib Sirker, Bakul Theke Shiuli Shomoy by Sufi Rahman, Vandaria Upazillar Etihash Oitijhya by M Farid Uddin Manju, Kaler Kapol Tole by Jatin Sarker, Good Governance and E-Governance Combat Corruption in Bangladesh by Anu Mahmud, Mahmud-ur-Rahman Chowdhury, Rajar Buddhi Pach Sika and Foring Nachey Sonar Khate

Meanwhile, yesterday was the ‘children’s day. Thousands of children aged-between five and 12 thronged on the Bangla Academy premises from 11am to 3pm.
The guardians also selected the day for their children. “I decided to come to the fair to buy some books for my son and daughter. I have bought five books from the fair,” Mahmudul Hasan who came from Mirpur said.
A discussion titled “Lalon Shah” was held on the main podium of the fair yesterday.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Rabindrabharoti University Professor Pabitra Sarker presided over the discussion while noted Lalon Researcher of India presented the keynote paper.
Shafi Ahmed, Abdul Wahab, Asimananda Gangapaddhyai and Rezauddin Stalin spoke the programme.
A fascinating cultural festival was held with the participation of thousands of people from all walks of life.
Discussion on “Ghanbititk Somaj 0 Digital Bangladesh Nirmane Totho-Projukti” will be held on the main stage of the fair today.
Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury will preside over the programme while Nazrul Islam Khan will present the keynote paper.
Mostafa Jabbar, Tarique Sujat, Aparesh Bandyopadhyai and Mahbub Jaman will be present as the discussants.
