12 robbers surrender in Barisal

Twelve members of infamous robber gang ‘Khokababu Bahini’, including its ringleader, surrendered to Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in presence of Home Minister Asaduzzamna Khan at Rab headquarters in the district on Monday.
All the robbers formally surrendered with 22 firearms and 1003 rounds of bullets around 11.30 am
 at the Rab headquarters in Rupatoli area of Barisal city, said Lt CL Iftekharul Mabud, commanding officer of Rab-8.
Those surrendered are Kabirul Islam alias Khokababu, ringleader of the robber gang, Aminur Rahman, Shahjahan Gazi, Abdul Aziz, Mizanur Rahman, Rabiul Islam, Osman Gani, Rafiqul Gazi, Yeasin Ali Gazi, Mahidul Islam, Majibar Rahman, and Mohammad Kala, hailing from different upazilas of Satkhira district.
Addressing a programme after the surrender, the home minister said the members of the robber gang promised to return to normal life.
