12 more patients have died in the last 24 hours (from 9:00 am on Thursday to 9:00 am on Friday) at the corona unit in Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), a health official said.
Of the fresh fatalities, six died from coronavirus, five with the symptoms while one other died after recovered from the virus. Of them, five were from Rajshahi, three from Naogaon, two each from Chapainawabganj and Natore.
RMCH director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the information on Friday morning.
He said four of the 12 people died in the hospital’s ICU.
According to hospital sources, 349 patients were admitted in the 309-bed corona unit of the Hospital as of 9:00 am on Friday. 19 of them are in ICU.
