12 eminent personalities, one instt get Independence Award 2019

Bangladesh Government has nominated 12 eminent personalities and one organisation to receive Independence Award 2019, the State’s highest honour, for their outstanding contributions to the nation in respective branches.
The names of the winners were announced at a media conference from the Cabinet Division on Sunday.
The recipients are Martyred Intellectual Mofazzal Haydar Chowdhury (posthumous), Martyred War Hero ATM Jafar Alam
(posthumous), AKM Mozammel Haque, Mosharraf Hossain, Kazi Misbahun Nahar, Abdul Khaleque (posthumous), and Mohammad Khaled (posthumous) for Independence and Liberation War, Brigadier General Nurunnahar Fatema Begum in Medical Science, Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad in Social Service, Murtaja Baseer in Cultural Activity, Hasan Azizul Haque in Literature, Hasina Khan for Research and Training and Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture in Science and Technology.
The personalities and BINA will receive the awards on March 25 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre a day before the country’s Independence Day.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the awards to them.
The government has been presenting the awards to commemorate Independence Day on March 26 every year since 1977.
Each of the winners receives an 18-carat gold medal, a certificate and Tk 300,000.
