11-year-old Sheikh Yaamin Sinan played cricket with his mother at Paltan Ground on last Friday. Then the photographers of different newspapers and website took that photograph. After that the leading newspapers and websites published the picture on Saturday. Besides, the television channels telecasted the entertaining picture.
Yaamin’s energy drew the attention of his hero ‘Mr Dependable’ Mushfiqur Rahim and the boy got chance to meet with the wicketkeeper-batsman of Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Mushfiqur Rahim went to the Banani field on Wednesday in his own initiative to meet with the boy and presented him his number 15 jersey along with autographed memorabilia bat and gloves.
Mushfiqur Rahim said, “I watched the eye-catching picture on Maasranga Television and I was really interested to meet with the youngster. I wanted to meet them whenever it was possible.
“It’s a nice feeling that young people follow me. The biggest thing is the sacrifice that Yaamin’s mother is going through to make her child’s dream possible,” Mushy told the newsmen.
Yaamin was super excited to meet his hero. “It was my life’s dream to meet with Brother Mushfiqur Rahim. It happened with the Almighty’s blessings and I am very happy to meet him,” Yaamin said.
“What will I have to do to become like you?” Yaamin asked Mushfiqur Rahim.
Mushfiqur Rahim, the popular cricketer encouraged the youngster, saying,”Not like me, I hope you become a better cricketer and human being than me.”
Mushfiqur Rahim also said, ” I was not playing such kind of cricket when I was as old as you. You are performing better than my performance when I was 11 years old.”
