Staff Reporter :At least 109 rape incidents, including 17 gang-rape, took place across the country in April this year. Besides, attempts were taken to rape 10 females and two others were brutally killed after the rape.Even, Four hundred sixty three women and baby girls have been tortured and 79 were killed in different repression incidents.Bangladesh Mohila Parishad prepared the report based on daily newspapers and TV news, said a statement of the Parishad.The statement said, three women were violated ferociously in lastmonth, while 18 women and girls were sexually tortured and six women and children were also victims of acid throwing. It also mentioned that five women and children were trafficked and one girl was sold at brothel. On the other hand, 20 women were tortured and killed for dowry, it mentioned.
