10,866 more COVID-19 deaths registered globally

In the last 24 hours, 541,919 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 10,866 died from the pandemic. Brazil has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
Earlier on Tuesday, 445,045 COVID-19 patients were detected while 7,595 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.
As of Wednesday morning (31-03-2021), a total of 128,797,282 people has been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 2,815,896 while 103,923,534 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
Brazil has registered 3,668 deaths and 541,919 new cases in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,815,045 people died in the country due to the pandemic and 12,664,058 have been infected so far.
The US, the worst-hit country in the world, has registered the second-highest death toll of 873 during the time. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 564,138 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 31,097,154 as 62,459 new cases were confirmed during the period. The country is still at the top in coronavirus deaths and infections.
Italy has seen the third-highest death toll of 529 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 108,879. The total number of cases has exceeded 3,561,012 with 16,017 new infections.
In Poland, 461 more people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 52,392. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 2,288,826 as 20,870new cases were confirmed during the period.
Russia has reported 8,277 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 4,536,820. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 98,442 with 409 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China in 2019, is now affecting 219 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
