Chittagong district police in a series of overnight drives arrested 104 persons including two Jammat Islami activists with Yaba tablets and liquor from different upazilas of the district on Tuesday night.
Abdul Awal, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, said police detained 104 persons including two Jammat Islami activists with 2,130 pieces of contraband sex stimulating Yaba tablets and 40 litres of country made liquor from different upazilas of the district.
The arrestees were also allegedly involved in acts of sabotage and vandalism.
The detainees also include 87 persons under warrant of arrest and 15 accused in regular cases, he said.
