UNB, Panchagarh :
At least 100 houses were gutted by a devastating fire that broke out at Gitalganj in Tentulia upazila early Saturday.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from the kitchen of the house of one Ramijul Islam and soon engulfed the adjoining houses at about 12:30 am.
Ten cattle and 30 goats also burned down during the fire.
Mohamamd Salah Uddin, deputy commissioner of the district, visited the spot.
He also distributed Tk2,000 and 30 kg rice to each of the affected families.
