10 schools yet to get MPO at Bhangura

Private schools are playing a positive role in the improvement of secondary education in Bhangra Upazila of Pabna district but they did not get government permission yet.
There are such ten private schools along with other MPO- affiliated secondary schools including Government Bhangura Union School and College and Udayan Academy.
Out of them , Bhangura Model School, Public School, Science School, Prism School and Advance School. Every year enough students are admitted into these schools . These schools were established within last 15 years. These institutes have their own uniforms and batches, in which attract students.
 In addition to this, kindergarten system is used to receive education, tutorials and regular exams. There is intense competition among schools for providing study and results. Because of this, the quality of education in the upazila has increased considerably.
Now every year a remarkable number of students are enrolled in medical, engineering or public universities. These schools applied for teaching permission, but they are unable to fulfill the government requirements. As a result, their students appear the examinations in the name of any other government-approved school. In this reason, parents alleged that they were being harassed in various ways.
In addition, the classes of these schools, like the coaching centers, have to be closed during the public examination.
Abdul Karim, Member of Bhangura Public School said, though the schools are private but the standard of education is maintained .
Jahanara Khatun, Director , Bhangura Science School said, “We have been making quality students for a long time but sadly we are not allowed to teach. This is why we are often suffering”.
Altab Hossain, Head teacher , Bhangura Model School said, “Our school has own infrastructure and EIIN number but lesson giving is not allowed by the Ministry of Education because we cannot providethe required land “.
Md Saiful Alam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer said, the role of those schools in the field of education is very positive. However, government support is not being provided as the ministry does not have teaching permission.
 If these schools are allowed to be relaxed on the condition that the teachers get permanent employment, the students will also get the opportunity to give the exams from their own schools.
