Ten suspected militants were arrested in several districts and the capital in 24 hours till Thursday morning as a weeklong anti-militant combing operation continued across the country.
Among the arrested militants, nine are members of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh and one of Hizb ut-Tahrir, said AKM Kamrul Ahsan, senior information officer at the Police Headquarters.
In the wake of the recent secret and targeted killings, the police launched the weeklong countrywide anti-militant special drive on Friday morning.
