At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Maulana Bhashani Hall unit over establishing supremacy on the campus on Thursday early morning.
University sources said a group activists of the Maulana Bhashani Hall unit BCL led by Aninda, its general secretary, stormed the rooms of Humayun Kabir, organising secretary of the university unit BCL, Shakil Ahmed, president of the hall unit, and Raknuzzaman Shabuj, member of the unit, chopped three of them and injured their seven roommates around 4:30am.
The injured were first taken to the University Medical Hospital and then the three were rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital in critical condition. A tense situation was prevailing on campus after the incident.
