10-day cultural festival ongoing at Shilpakala Academy

With the aim to display the rich
cultural heritage of the country, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised a 10-day long cultural festival at the National Theatre Hall
in the capital’s Segunbagicha area.
The cultural festival was inaugurated on September 7, said a press release.
Director General of the BSA, Liaquat Ali Lucky presided over the inaugural ceremony and Sohaila Afsana Ico, Director of the Production Department of the BSA, delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.
On the first day of the festival, Anannya Progga performed a patriotic song, Sundor Suborno. After this, Annesha Rawshon performed a folk dance called Kanduri followed by a performance called Gokul from Apurba Islam.
Noted dance artiste Warda Rihab also presented her solo dance performance titled Shibstuti in the inaugural ceremony of the festival.
Aside from these performances, Moushumi Rani Barman, Hena Hossain, Anindita Khan, Sohel Bhuiyan and Disha Moni Pal also performed at the event. The festival was broadcast live on the BSA’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
