Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive recovered 10 Indian air rifles from Baropota border here early Sunday.
Commanding officer Shafiuddin of BGB- 23 Battalion said on secret information, a BGB team launched a drive in the area and recovered the 10 Indian air rifles while those were being smuggled to India in the early morning.
Sensing presence of the border guards, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the arms. The air rifles were deposited to Benapole Port Police Station.
