A man was killed and 15 others injured in a clash over catching fish in Purangoan village of Bajitpur upazila on Sunday noon. The deceased was identified as Layes Miah, 60. Police said the followers of one Baten went to the catch fish in the pond of local Mohammad Jewel at the village at noon and locked in an altercation with the followers of the latter over catching fish. At one stage, supporters of the two groups equipped with home-made weapons and firearms locked in a bloody clash, which left 15 injured. Three of them were bullet injured.
