Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) on Wednesday started spraying disinfecting medicines in slums in Dhaka to protect its residents from coronavirus and dengue disease.
The foundation started its disinfecting medicines spraying programme from Sattala slum in Mohakhali.
Agriculturist Professor Dr. Abdul Karim and Agriculturist Shafiul Alam Dider led the prgramme.
“We are here to save the slum dwellers from the pandemic of coronavirus as per the advices of the BNP Acting Chairman
Tarique Rahman. We have sprayed disinfecting medicines to contain the spread of coronavirus. It is part of our efforts also to create awareness among the slum dwellers,” said Professor Dr Abdul Karim.
He said that his team has sprayed medicines with four large spray machines from 12 to 1:30 in different areas of the slum.
Agriculturists Sanwar Alam, Ward-20 unit BNP General Secretary Harunur Rashid and BNP leader Jashim Uddin, among others, were present.
Besides, ZRF Executive Director Dr. Farhad Halim Donar said, 27 teams of his foundation will be active to help underprivillaged poorer slum people in the days of coronavirus epidemic.
