An all-round performance came from Pakistani recruit Zohaib Khan saw Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club to notch a three-wicket victory over Agrani Bank Cricket Club in the 10th round match of Dhaka
Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) on Wednesday.
Invited to bat first by Doleshwar, Agrani Bank were restricted at 203 for 7 in stipulated 50 overs at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) ground in Savar.
Cameo Shamsul Islam top scored with unbeaten 64 runs and during the process he shared 83-run for the seventh wicket stand with Islamul Ahsan (46) after Agrani Bank slipped to 6 for 102 runs.
Sharifullah and Zohaib Khan shared three Agrani Bank’s wickets conceding 35 and 37 runs respectively.
In reply, Doleshwar chase down the target in 46.2 overs for the loss of seven wickets with useful contribution from Farhad Hossain (49), Marshall Ayub (42) and Zohaib (41) lower down the order.
Pacer Shafiul Islam and veteran left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak were the pick of Agrani Bank’s bowlers taking two Doleshwar’s wickets each giving away 25 and 34 runs respectively.
Zohaib Khan of Doleshawar was adjudged the player of the match for his all-round performance.
