BSS, Chattogram :
Rain played foul on the second day of the lone three-day practice match of visiting Zimbabwe, against Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI, as they scored 12 for 1 at stumps at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here on Tuesday.
Skipper Hamilton Masakadza with 11 and Craig Ervine with 0 were on the crease as the stumps were drawn for the day after Rubel Hossain struck early removing opener Brian Chari for duck. Rubel took the lone wicket conceding only two runs.
The match is clearly heading for a tame draw as rain almost consumed the second day’s play after rain washed out the entire first day without a ball being bowled.
The first Test of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will begin on November 3 in Sylhet. The visitors lost the three-match ODI series 3-0 to Bangladesh.
