Saqlain Sajib grabbed nine wickets saw visiting Zimbabwe faced batting debacle as they were dismissed their first innings at 206 in 74.1 overs against Bangladesh A team on the first day of the first four-day match held on Sunday.
The Bangladesh bowlers threatened early inroad on Zimbabwean innings taking up wickets in regular intervals after the visitors opted to bat first at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
Wicket keeper Regis Chakabva (64) and skipper Vusimuzi Sibanda (62) were the two notable batsman for the visiting side.
Apart from Saqlain Sajib’s nine wickets for 82 runs, Farhad Hossain captured the other one Zimbabwe wicket giving away 26 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh started their first innings in the afternoon and scored 30 for no loss in 13 overs at stumps. Liton Kumar and Sadman Islam were on the crease with 23 and 4 runs as the stumps were drawn for the day.
