After whitewashing Zimbabwe A team 3-0 in one-day series, the 2nd string Bangladesh team took a 1-0 lead against the home side in the two-match first class four-day series beating the hosts by 14 runs in the first match on Thursday.
The 2nd string Zimbabwean team opened the innings first after winning the toss and scored moderate 215 for 5, losing the opener BB Chari (4) for just five runs in 1.3 overs.
Another opener Hamilton Masakadza pairing with one down PJ Moor repaired the early damage contributing 118 runs in 34.2 overs in the 2nd wicket stand.
PJ Moor hammered a polished 62 runs off 84 balls featuring seven fours and two sixes, Masakadza scored a patient 118-ball 50 runs with four fours, middle order RP Burl made an unbeaten 37 runs off 53 deliveries including five fours, J Gumbie added not out 30 off 24 balls hitting six fours while GAT Mamhiyo scored 37-ball 28 runs with five fours.
Abu Jayed grabbed two wickets for 88 runs while Shuvagata Hom and Saqlain Sajib took one wicket each conceding 27 and 58 runs respectively.
