Nabib Newaz Zibon scored a brace as title aspirant Abahani Limited, came from behind, to register a 2-1 goal victory over Arambagh Krira Sangha in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football match on Tuesday at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
In the day’s match, Arifur Rahman put Arambagh ahead early in the 14th minute but Zibon restored the parity for Abahani in the 32nd minute of the match.
He sealed the victory for the sky blue Dhanmondi ‘outfit’ scoring the second goal in the 38th minute of the match.
After the resumption, Arambagh tried hard to fight back in the match, initiating some scoring chances but failed to convert any of those into a goal due to lack of proper finishing.
Abahani played better football all through the proceeding and notched their deserving victory while Arambagh were off-colored on the day.
