Zia shares 3rd position after 5th round in Mayor Chess

GM Ziaur Rahman Zia of Bangladesh Navy shared the 3rd position with 4 points along with other 13 players after the 5th round games of 9th Mumbai Mayor’s Cup International Open Chess Tournament now being held in Mumbai, India.
FM Sk. Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy earned 3.5 points, FM Kh. Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy and Zoar Haque Prodhan bagged 3 points each, Mohammad Sherajul Kabir earned 2.5 points, M Jamal Uddin of Access Chess, Kazi M Mahbub Afzal, and Abdur Razzak of Kushtia secured 2 points each, Rubel Parvej and M Nurul Islam Mahin collected 1.5 points each, M Raju Ahmed earned 1 point, M Monir Hossain and Abul Kashem earned point each.
In the 5th round games were held Sunday, Zia beat Ram S. Krishnan of India, Nasir drew with Thanki Hemal Karsanji of India, Amin beat Vantika Agrawal of India, Zoar lost to Sammed Jaykumar Shete of India, Sheraj split points with Shah Rishab of India, Afzal lost to Bhartakke Amardeep of India, Jamal drew with Devansh Ratti of India, Razzak lost to Tiwari Ashwani of India, Rubel split points with Archi Agrawal of India, Mahin beat Pradhan Mohan Singh of Nepal, Monir lost to Sanjeev Pitale of India Kashem split points w with Raju.
