GM Ziaur Rahman and FM Sk. Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy of earned 2 points each after the completion of the third round games in the Elite Category of the 9th Kiit International Chess Festival is being held at Bhubaneswar in India.
FM Kh. Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy, CM Sohel Chowdhury of Sheikh Russel Memorial Sporting Club and Mohammad Sherajul Kabir of SIAF POWERTEC earned 1.5 points each.
FM Eunus Hasan of Titas Club, Kawsar Ali Ety, Zoar Haque Prodhan and Mohammad Hasan earned 1 points each and M. Jamal Uddin and Abul Kashem earned half point each.
All 3rd round games were held yesterday (Tuesday).
In 3rd round Zia drew with Debarshi Mukharjee, Nasir beat Suvradeepta Das of India, Amin drew with Meenal Gupta of India, Eunus beat Rubel, Ety beat Pradhan Mohan Singh of Nepal, Sohel lost to GM Ulybin Mikhail of Russia, Sheraj lost to Hamdani Rubin of Indonesia.
