Registrar of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) Md Zakir Hossain on Tuesday had been designated as the Acting Registrar General of the SC.
He will perform the responsibility of the Registrar General of the Supreme Court in addition to his own responsibility till further order.
The SC authorities issued a notification on Tuesday in this regard.
The authorities also sent another proposal to the Law Ministry to bring changes in six more posts of the SC administration, sources said. The Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday brought a big changes in its administration after Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha went on month-long leave.
On October 15 in 2017, the SC authorities approved a proposal for transferring 10 high officials of the Supreme Court registrar’s office, including Registrar General Syed Aminul Islam, Additional Registrar of the High Court Division Md Sabbir Faiz and the Chief Justice’s Personal Secretary Mohammad Anisur Rahman.
