Gazi Mazharul Anwar was the first President Gold Medal receiver lyricist after the independence of Bangladesh. Therefore, he also got Ekushey Padak and National Film Award.
Film director Zakir Hossain Raju apologised not to include the name of Gazi Mazharul Anwar in the title of film Onek Sadh-er Moina. Because lyrics of very popular song of the movie titled Onek sadh-er moina aamar was written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar. But in the title of the film his name was not mentioned.
While talking in this regard Zakir Hossain Raju said, “Due to unfortunate mistake the name of Gazi Mazharul Anwar was not included in the title of the movie. I am sorry. I am expressing apology in this regard. I hope he will forgive me. I am assuring that this mistake will be corrected soon.”
