City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin inaugurated the Dr. Zakaria Chowdhury Chattar at Kazir Dewri crossing in the port city . Chattogram city corporation has constructed it at his own fund. City Mayor in his inaugural address said this chattar was built as a recognitions to the contributions of Dr. Zakaria Chowdhury for the emergence of Bangladesh.

Javed, councilor MonoaraBegum Moni, FF commander Mozaffar Ahgmed, Raozan upazila chairman Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul spoke in the discussions among others.
